Why Cacao?
Plants as a Guide
Along our path we will have many guides and teachers. The realm of the plants and crystals, the frequency holder of the earth have very strong and clear signals. When a plant intrigues us or a plant guide finds us, we begin to remember a new/ancient language. The teacher, Cacao has been a very powerful guide for me in my life, at a time when I really needed it. I have found the energy of Cacao to be one that is truly supportive in learning to heal and love ourselves, see patterns that are holding us back, giving us the courage to break free from old cycles. Cacao is a great teacher of grounded embodiment, presence, authentic & vulnerable connection and a gateway to joy. This is how cacao works through me, opening my channel to have the courage to share, express and lead even when I doubt myself. She has taught me to ground in and show up, to trust my voice and connection. And Most importantly finding the joy and play within that expression.
A plant medicine is not a cure all. They are not magical potions that will wash away our hurt and do all of the work for us & heal us in an instance. (Even though they are...magical potions...but that's a whole other conversation!) Our plant allies meet us where we are, but like any relationship, we have to meet them with presence, love and willingness as well. We are required to actively participate in our life, whether through conscious action or intentional allowing.
Our circles , events and courses call upon Cacao as a companion along our journey, creating doorways of possibility to stimulate even deep healings and realizations.
Of course we don't need these plants to grow and heal, but it is certainly fun, supportive and nourishing to have the help and support of the earthly plant realm to tune into more clarity, when we use them with love, reverence and deep gratitude for the lands they have come from, the people who tended to them and the spirit and essence of who & what they are.
